U 676 flak claims

In Mr. Wynn’s book “U-Boat operations†mentioned that U 676 from 3.9.44 to 25.10.44 carried out convoy-escort duties as a flak boat against Soviet aircraft in the eastern Baltic and the Gulf of Finland. She claimed to have shot down two aircraft during this patrol. Who know dates of these claims and reasons of such strange use of U-Boat?
