I did start to search old emails but the internet was so slow this morning I only managed to get one off to you. I have literally hundreds to go throug. Unfortunately I dont know how to post them in here so will have to send to you as and when possible.
To anyone else reading this:- the U-boat commanders Walter M is talking about are:-
Kptlt. Franzke. Kptlt. Hirsacker, Oblt.z.S. Kusch, Kptlt. Rahmlow &
K.Kapt. Hardegen. I think the latter is because of one of the flame wars that went on in here and not because of anything that happened before 1945.
I will send what I have asap.
