Uranium U-238 to Japan in U-235

I understand Germany was transporting U-238 to Japan for an Atomic Bomb but was captured and the U238 captured by Canada and US Navy. Right? Details? I think the U-238 was on the U-235 and the crew thought the cargo marked U-238 was mistaken for U-235 (Are you Confused by now?)
