Hello,
I'm curious about a couple things relating to Fritz Poske (U-504).
1. Does anyone know the reasoning behind the crocodile/alligator emblem for the boat?
2. Has anyone here read his post-war book: Der Seegrenzschutz 1951–1956. Erinnerung – Bericht – Dokumentation , Koblenz/Bonn, 1982.
ISBN 3-7637-5410-5. If so, was this just a dry operational overview of his involvement in developing the German Coast Guard or does it involve some cold-war intrigue? Did he ever write or speak of his WWII experiences?
