Check out the English Channel and Irish Sea maps on this site. They show the rough location of boats lost in those areas, of which ther were a few. I didn\'t note any sinkings that involved a sea plane, though Liberators seems to have been rather succesful in these waters.

I would also stick with this website for now for technical details. Unfortunately, most of the boats lost in the area are of the same type (Type VIIC with a few Type VIIC/41 thrown in) and were lost late in the war. General features of a boat probably will not identify it - you\'d need serial numbers off the actual wreck.

As for pictures of sea planes attacking U-boats, I\'m sure some exist. Is there anything unique in the one you have?

Also, which U-boat are you referring to?</HTML>
