Also regarding my last post:
The doctor mentioned in Ritschel was Dr, BERNBECK, not GODER. Both doctors served on U-124, BERNBECK for 2 patrols and Dr. GODER was listed as U-124. I guess it would take a dated crew list or the original KTB to ascertain which doctor was aboard for the incident.
