I have been written three books in danish about the war at sea in danish waters 1939-1945, and I have been written lots of the Schicksale of the german uboats. 11 was sunk in danish waters (I am not thinking about the selfsinking in Flensborg Förde and in Fehmarn Belt). There have been found 10 wrecks. Only one is missing - U 579, there was sunk 5. may 1945 by a british plane in Kattegat in the middle of Ebeltoft and Sjællands Odde. 25 was dead, and a unknown numbers was saved.
Many people try to find the wreck after the war, but without luck.
Do anybody know what happend with the crew, how many surrived - and what have happen with the wreck?
best regards
