Hello,

I was wondering if anybody knows the minimum crew numbers that would be needed to operate a type IXC/40 U-boat?

I know the crew was always around 50 but was every crew member vital to the running of the ship?

Apologies if this is a daft question, I am currently writing a work of fiction and conducting some research.
