<HTML>Hi Oliver
Engelmann boat WAS NOT a u-boat but a pre-war EXPERIMENTAL 265 tonnes high speed boat PROJECT whose spindle-shaped hull laid almost entirely beneath the surface. The boat was controlled from a small hump-shaped superstructure that protruded above the surface. The project was subsequently abandoned at the begining of the war.
EXPERIMENTAL
NO PATROLS
NO SUCCESSES
You can find information about in the book \"The U-Boat\" by Eberhard Rössler.
Best regards</HTML>
