Hi John,
Bauer was IWO on U-37 from August 4th, 1938 (the day U-37 was commissioned) through her first two patrols and perhaps a few days after.
Bauer started commander’s school November 16th, 1939 just 8 days after U-37 returned to Wilhelmshaven from her 2nd patrol.
I don't know who the other officers on U-37 were during that time, except of course the commanders. Bauer as commander of U-126 sank my dad's ship and it is he that I have researched, not U-37.
