hi,
the RN wireless station on St. Kilda was shelled by German sub U 90 (CO Kptlt Walter Remy) om May 15, 1918 at noon.
Thw W/T station was not hit directly, but the power supply hut got a hit and the station was out of action for several hours.
Fresh sheep (mutton) meat was obtained by U 90's crew not on St. Kilda, but on North Rona.
