I'm modelling the Trumpeter 1/48 U-Boat and I am going to change out the incorrect deck plate for the correct pattern. Unfortunately I cannot find any pictures of the original deck plates on a Type VIIC boat. I'm curious if the deck plate styles on U-505 (a Type IXC boat) would be the same. It appears from the few pictures I've found online that the decks were a smooth varnished wood in the Fore and Aft torpedo rooms and the Dot type anti-slip in the Control, Engine and Electric Motor rooms. Haven't found any pictures of the two crews rooms. Just wondering if these two boats would be similar.
