Hi All,
I have recently acquired a WW2 Anschutz compass believed to have been from a U-Boat. It has a damaged makers plate on the side and all I can make out are the words ' Tochterkompass ' and ' E - Kompassan???? ' There is also the number ' Nr. 7280 '
Actually cast into the case is the Nazi eagle motif above the letter ' M ' and beside the eagle is the number ' Nr 3081 '
Unfortunately the numbered dials inside the case have been crudely restored using hand drawn numerals on paper.
Can anyone shed some light on this grand item ?
