Hi Platon,
Many thanks for this, I had looked at U-617 but hadn't considered U-596, when viewing the patrol day map on uboat.net this boat was not showing in the western Med and I didn't have a diary for the boat anyway. Thanks for confirming this, another verified attack for the 41st EG.
