<HTML>Hi George,
You will find information regarding Operation Drumbeat on U-Boat Net; look for Operations, and under that you will find \'Operation Pauckenschlag\'.
The original five Drumbeat boats were the first wave of U-Boats to attack the eastern seaboard of North America. They were the U-66, U-109, U-123, U-125, and the U-130 who all arrived off US/Canadian waters during January 1942. The U-166 did not sail for American waters until June 1942 and therefore could not strictly be classed as a Drumbeat boat.
Hope this has been of help.
All the best,
Andrew</HTML>
