Luth\'s U-BOAT sinking in port

Also just read that Wolfgang Luths U-BOAT sank accidentally in port once as the valves had been left open.As it sunk on an even keel\'the sailors keeping guard never noticed till too late.The u-boats sailing was delayed by at least 3 months at a time when every U-BOAT was needed.

Anyone got any further details.
