<HTML>Hi
I recently posted an entry on the Subcommittee site regarding VIIc decking. I have read in 2 seperate reference books that the early VIIc had an all metal deck, and the later VIIc with snorkel added and more anti-air platforms fitted had a wooden deck.
If you examine photos of these boats, the pattern of decks changed to long slots of painted teak. The early boat however had square plates with eliptical rounded slots in.
Can anyone clarify this? The boat at Laboe is the later boat with wooden decking.
Your help would be much appreciated.
