HELLO FROM BERLIN

forgive having no capitals but these german typewriter keyboards are slightly different from ours and its a pain to keep trying to use caps...

i am in an internet cafe in berlin across from that huge bombed out church we always see on stories of berlin. it is truly a terrific town.

very quickly....i went to both moltenort and laboe.

YOU ALL ***MUST*** GO TO SEE THESE TWO SIGHTS!!!!

moltenort is very touching and done quite well. u995 is incredibly small...smaller than u505 in chicago which i have seen twice so far. at laboe there is a phenominal memorial ehrenmal to the entire german navy....and YES CAPT GEORGE MCDUFFY:::I FOUND THAT PLAQUE YOU WERE ASKING ABOUT:

SINCE i have only 5 minutes left on my time here...i will save the rest for when i get home around the 22 or so of may

i saw checkpoint charlie and the remains of the berlin wall today fantastic. there is a great museum of the wall and how people tried to escape
