<HTML>Are there any good stories about the U-boat service?

Were there any secret missions that had life or death consequences? Any legendary attacks on convoys were the U-boat crew appeared doomed but were able to fend off fate? Did any U-boat liberate innocent civillians while the Russian Army exacted a terrible revenge?

I always love a good story. Anyone got any?
