Periscopes in U571 the movie?

<HTML>The only good thing in the movie U571 was the boat, but haven’t they mixed up the attack scope and the observations scope? In the flic it looks to me as the smaller attack scope is in front of the bridge where normaly the observations scope would be. Or is it me beeing confused?
