U-boat crew Victory at sea

In the Fair but flawed "Victory at Sea Series" were those actual U boat crews filmed? If yes...what U boats? Also they also had a short film clip of what was the body of a merchant seaman floating in the sea...real or not? {I call this seies flawed because unfortunely it contains propaganda film...Pearl harbor attack John Ford "reconstruction" with model airplanes!!!!!! & smoke pots
