<HTML>Hello all:
I think Bucheim's "DAS BOOT" is great.............
But, there exists another book that describes how German and American naval personnel conducted combat operations in one of the most critical, yet least known, military chapters of World War II.
This of course is "OPERATION DRUMBEAT" by Michael Gannon - 1990.
It's mostly about Reiard Hardegan and U-123. It's not a novel, like "DAS
BOOT", however, but based on facts.
Incidentally, this fact has been mentioned in an earlier post.
Hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did.
Regards,
ROBERT M.</HTML>
