Hello Woody, practically all Alistair McLean novels that were filmed SUCK! Bear Island is no exception, and the script bears very little resemblance to the book, but it's a good 60s yarn to watch, better than Ice Station Zebra in many ways, and certainly better than When eight Bells toll.
