What happened to the schnorkels when the u-boat was fitted as a flak boote? It seems the added forward turret would extend over the deck fitting fot the schnorkel, now allowing it to raise. Any ideas? This site shows that quite a few of the flak boats were fitted with schnorkels...

I'm modelling a VII/C 41 with a Quad 20mm Flak on the rear platform. Does anyone know if this gun was the same variant as was deployed in the field role? (ie can I use a 'towed' model).

I want to use a Revell VIIC/41 (5045) and a Nautilus Turm VI (72-004) conversion to model a VIIC converted to a Flak trap. Is there any good pics or plans of the front turret (the one with the 'legs' showing) and which Nautilus deck should I use? Thanks, Ian.
