Since the announcement of the release of Revell's U-505 I have been trying to figure out the external differences between the 2 hulls. According to this site there is a minor change in size (16cm in length, 10cm in beam). In 1/72 that equates to approxinately 2.2mm and 1.4mm, in Revells 1/144 fleet I have found that their hulls are as much as 2mm out in length anyway. Was the length differen

Talked to the Revell guys at the scale model world at Telford last weekend, they are saying December.(I'll believe it when it turns up at my door, I have it on pre-order from Wonderland). Also talked to CMK and they tell me they are concentrating efforts for type IX accessories, no details.(10.5cm gun and crew please!) Hecker & Goros have 2 Indian Ocean crew sets advertised already

Thanks for the suggestion Maciek, I have found several picturres of te U534 already, some are useful, some not so (barely thumnails). I have planned a visit to what is left of U534 for the end of the month, I'm not sure what that will achieve, as the hull has been fairly butchered by the Mersey Ferry Company. Hi all, In preparation of the forthcoming Revell 1/72 IX-C (U505) I am looking for any pictures of the upper pressure hull without the wooden decking, with or without the deck support framework, either during construction or wreck photographs would be great. Jon
