Hello everyone. I am a huge fan of the U-boat tankers (“Milk Boats”). One boat in particular, is U-463 which was lost with all hands. Does anyone have any information on its colour scheme, and even its emblem colours? I am a professional model builder (professional in that I build for magazines and clients and that is all I do). I have references that show U-18 with her conning tower camouflaged with grey colors graduating horizontally from the bottom (dark grey), to the top - lightest grey. Does anyone have any other photos or knowledge of whether the other boats of 30th Flotilla were camouflaged the same way? Also was the additional AA platform added to the rear of the conning tower common to all the Black Sea U-boats?
