Hi I was wondering if anyone can tell me whether the Führungsbuch - a sort of large format extra detailed Soldbuch - was kept by the individual sailor, at the headquarters, or what? Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any details of the fittings of the Wardroom / Officer's Mess on a type VIIc? In particular, what sort of light fittings and was there a fixed mirror (I've been told there was, but it seems a bit unlikely)? If anyone has any photos, or can send me links, all the better. I've had a bit of a look around the internet but haven't found much.

Hi Peter, No messages - but I did what further research I could and it seemed to fit that these were not used on U-boats - or rather the only evidence I could find of their usage was on surface vessels. Thanks Keith.

Hello I was wondering if someone can tell me whether the Zeiss (blc) 7 x 50 H binoculars that was apparently used on the Rohrzielapparat (Tube target apparatus) were ever used in place of the UZO / UDF or otherwise on U-Boats.
