You might like to look at Tony Ditcham's book A Home On The Roling Main. A wonderful book of memoirs of his time in the RN, including a good spell on Holderness. I visited Ditcham in the Welsh border last weekend - early 90s but razor sharp and great company. The forthcoming paperback edition is previewed on amazon, or you could acquire a hardback copy from TD directly.
