I've always heard that Lend Lease was the US ditching what we didn't want any more so we could send New construction down the ways. That is what I have gathered. So what about those old First World War destroyers? How did they fare vs. the U Boats. I don't mean in losses and kills, but in speed, manouverability and equipment needed to keep the UK going. Thoughts?
