Hi Platon, John Makie agent number is explained in his book. His squad(total 62) never exist and they were forced to use numbers - never first or last name. Survival ratio was 8.5%.

Thank you Plato for your post. I´m sure you are right in the matter that the submarine didn´t go all the way to Sweden. Part of the journey they went with a fishing vessel. According to the book the journey with submarine took about 20 hours. From Dover to Sweden coast are about 550 nautical miles. If the submarine was travelling at 15 nautical miles - then still about 250 miles to go with the f

Good day, I´m working on a lecture about Sir William Stephenson. According to the book "The Spy Worker: 1942 – 1946. Agent 034" By John M. Makie - Stephenson and Churchill planned a sabotage missions in late 1943. The mission was to blow up a train in Sweden. Group of 6 UDS commandos were sent from port of Dover with submarine to Sweden coast. See page 152: Is somewhere I
