Looking for material (i.e. location of primary docs, secondary material) on this fellow. Currently writing a book about the German Intell apparatus in North America during the Great War. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Any additional resources about his activities in WWII would be a plus particulary his capture by the NKVD. Thanks.

Appreciate the input. Yes i believe by 1918 communication in wireless aboard the U-boats as well as other German boats were able to communicate with land devices. If you are familiar with the book "The German Secret Service in America, 1914-1918" by John Price Jones, I suggest having a look at pages 46-53 especially. Thanks for your response. Hawkwind

By 1918 U-boats were able to transmit at greater distances. Some authors say no more than 300-500 kilometers. Was it possible that the U-boats could do ship to shore communications with possible German agents equipped with portable wireless devices?
