Hi, I have a thermometer that my grandfather liberated from a uboat whilst serving in the royal navy during ww1. the brass case is marked with the date 30.7.1917 and the maker C.WILH.Stein Sohn.Hamberg. and the serial no 123496. Hi,can anyone help with infomation on this vessel,all i know about her is that she was tender to the submarine school and was surrendered to the british in Lubeck in 1945. ,she gets a brief mention in jane's but no photo or details. I would appreciate any infomation on her. regards cyril.
