Hi, I’ve just recently acquired a six pounder (Mk III) shell case. On the base of this shell case has been stamped ‘ One of the six fired at German submarine August 20’ then ‘J. Harkness’ and ‘Mediterranean’ with ‘1917’ and finishing with ‘I.W.T.Y.’ I would be very grateful if anyone could enlighten me as to what this alludes to. Regs B

The reason I asked the question was that in a local antique shop, I found a well made trench/ hunting knife with a blade length of about 3.5"-4" long with wooden handle.
