Hi Michael, Thanks for that information! Not sure I'll ever figure out what he served on exactly before UB-23 but interesting to know that this indicates that he was there pretty early on. We never heard about any battleship service, and it's so well preserved - I'm guessing it was a swap or a gift. Thanks! Kristen

Hi everyone, I've looked at this site for a while and am finally posing a question. My grandfather served on UB-23 in WW1. I've got his ribbons and a bunch of original photos.
