I know there are several books out there about u-boats. I was wondering which ones you gentlemen would recommend to a novice. I am particularly interested in personal accounts of life on a u-boat, by those who experienced it. The attacks, the boredom, shear terror. etc. Thanks for your help, Mark

Hi all. I am new to the forum. I have always been fascinated with the u-boat war and within the the last few months have become obsessed with it. I recently took a trip to Chicago to tour u-505. I was wondering, are there any u-boat boat crew members, specifically captains, still alive? Any information about them would be great. Thanks, Mark
