I have the personal photo album which belonged to Odin's Commander Kenneth Maciver Woods . He was connected with the submarine from 1931 through to it's loss . There are a few nice photos of Odin and some of her crew . Jim

Hubertus , I have never used the German records people ...have you used their services yourself ? ..it says they can take up to a year to respond . Have you found this to be the your experience .It does seem a very long time . many thanks jim

Hello Herb and Ken ..thanks for your comments . Herb I think the evidence from the album is pretty conclusive ..what do you require in order to update your records for the crew list of U-108 ...I can possibly add a few more names ...I have many identified names /individual photos which match those people already on your crew list .plus a few others ...the album apears tobe entirely u-108 relat

It has been pointed out to me elsewhere , that there is no mention of Willi Wilke having served on U-108 ...according to Ubootwaffe.net crew list . and the only Willi Wilke mentioned died on U-655...24th March 1942. I really need some help from someone with indepth knowledge . The album to me clearly suggests Willie Wilke served on U-108 . If it was Willi Wilkes album then there is an inconsi

I have recently received an excellent original photo album containing 137 photos ( all related to service on U-108 ) . Album which belonged to a crew member who served on U-108 from date of commissioning through to 1942 .... Mirroring the service period of its commander Kptlt. Klaus Scholtz. Hello Einar , these photos are being sold in their thousands , many ebayers are selling them from different countries ...you can see from the other photos he has for sale that they have been dipped in tea to "age " them ..its a total con . I have just looked briefly through ebay photos ,there are plenty of traders selling these fake russian archive photos .. for example 360218292442 this ebay listing is in Bulgaria ..the u-boat photo is identical to a fake I was fooled into buying ..you can clearly see the ageing staining . I just tried looking up fifa antiques but could not find them ,..he / they use many ids and they do change .Please show the photos to the forum site I suggested ,there are people much more experienced than myself who will give you good advice .
