Well, it was worth a shot. The only thing about this story that made it persuasive was that it was in a major newspaper, The Boston Globe, and that the story reoccurred. If I have read it in the National Enquirer, or similar rag, I would not give it credibility. I am surprised nobody here never heard about the story though.

Yes. That's how the Boston Globe reported it. Floating just below the surface. I wonder if anybody knows what became of it? Lee

Greetings. Newbie here, and I have a query. When I was a kid in the 60's, I recall a recurring story in the Boston Globe, no doubt syndicated, about a U-Boat that was floating about 20 feet or so below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico, or the Carribean Sea. It would reappear every year or so, drifting around below the surface, seemingly "stuck" at that depth. Speculation wa
