Thanks guys, that's the one. I've collected U9 postcards for some time and its captains and if Weddigen had stayed with it he would have seen the war out. Thanks Felix for the link. When I work out how to do it I'll post my picture on this sight. Thanks again for the confirmation, Paul.

I have recently bought a postcard with a U boat on it, with pencil details on the reverse stating that it is U9 stranded on the beach at Dover. I am aware that it survived the war and probably went for scrap. Has anyone any details to confirm that this is U9 at Dover please. Magpie.
