Have a look at this video of a engine run of a WW1 MAN F6V35. Link: Technical info: This U-boat engine was built in 1917 by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg to operate in a German submarine. This engine however never made it into a U-boat as the war was running to an end. Maybe the book "Die UC- Boote der Kaiserlichen Marine 1914 - 1918. Minenkrieg mit U- Booten." will have the info needed. I have the UB book and its great, and Im shure the UC is just as good. Try
