Summary

This documentary tells the story of the sinking of British passenger ship S.S. City of Cairo. Torpedoed November 6, 1942, in the South Atlantic by Korvkpt. Karl-Friedrich Merten's U-68, some survivors of the original 301 passengers and crew were picked up from a life raft some days later. A book on this incident was published in 1984.
