Summary

This silent feature contrasts the life of a Belgian blacksmith with that of Kaiser Wilhelm and his acts of war. It includes a scene in which a U-boat captain, having been decorated for sinking the Lusitania, goes mad.

Reflecting the US sentiment of 1918, this was one of the most anti-German films produced during World War I. Stars included Lon Chaney.
