Summary

In World War I, a battered sub chaser crewed by a motley group of misfits patrols the Adriatic hunting U-boats. In a formula which is now a familiar one, the crew shapes up and fulfills its mission in heroic style.


Notes

This film is notable for its sympathetic treatment of the enemy U-boat men. Based on Ray Millholland's The Splinter Fleet of the Otranto Barrage and filmed with the support of the U.S. Navy.
