26 Sep 1942. One of U-181's crew was operated on under general anaesthetic.
3 Nov 1942. U-181 provided drinking water to the occupants of a lifeboat they came across in the Indian Ocean.
20 Nov 1942. After sinking a ship, U-181 rescued a survivor from the water and later transferred him to a lifeboat.
