Previously recorded fate (Last revised by Axel Niestlé during October 1991). More on revised fates
The attack from a British Liberator aircraft (Sqdn 86/K) often credited with the sinking of U-2534 was actually against U-3503 causing minor damages.
Men lost from U-boats
Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-2534 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
