Sunk on 29 June 1941 in the North Atlantic south of Iceland, in position 59.52N, 18.36W, by depth charges from the British destroyers HMS Malcolm and HMS Scimitar, the British corvettes HMS Arabis and HMS Violet and the British minesweeper HMS Speedwell. 45 survivors (no casualties).
