History

The 2nd ULD was founded in November 1940. In the ULD served some famous U-boat officers like Korvkpt. Bleichrodt and Korvkpt. (Ing.) Rohweder. During January 1945 the ULD left Gotenhafen and was disbanded over the next two months.

The 22nd Flotilla was attached to the 2nd ULD.

* Kptlt. Ernst Hashagen was during WWI Commander of the U-boats SM UB-21 and U-62.
