What boat/s? Had to be Post WWII, 'cause we didn't have
weapons officers then, just torpedo officers. :-))

Which USN torpedoes does apply to?
All U.S. Navy torpedoes had negative buoyancy at the end of their runs, else exercise heads would never be required for practice shots.
Would this apply to the MK 14 Mod 5 and MK 45 torpedoes still
aboard the USS SCORPION (SS-589)?
