<HTML>Brian:
The first survivors of the KORMORAN - 26 men on a raft - were rescued by the trooper AQUITANIA in position 24 degrees 35 minutes S, 110 degrees 57 minutes E. A second raft with 25 men was found by the tanker TROCAS at 24 degrees 06 minutes S, 111 degrees 40 minutes E. I have not plotted these positions, but estimate them to be about 50 miles apart. The latter position is reported to be about 115 nautical miles WNW of the town of Carnavon, Western Australia.
Cordially.
