There was little doubt about the fate of UB 58 as some of her logs floated to the surface and were recovered by the Royal Navy. Divers in recent years have located the wreck - the wreck was actually located in 1918 but not identified at the time. The site has erroneously been linked to UB 54 and UB 108.
