Sunk with no survivors; vessel posted as missing. The body of W. W. Roberts, Highbury’s second mate, as well as a second, unidentified crewman, washed up in Killala Bay, Co. Mayo/Co. Sligo, Ireland.

The sinkings of Highbury and Taplow were reassessed in 2020 by Michael Lowrey. Spindler’s official history listed Highbury as sunk by U 82 at 48°25’N, 10°28’W on June 14; the vessel U 82 sank was actually Taplow.
